Internet nejde po upgrade ubuntu zo 8.04 na 8.10

Pomocou sudo do-release-upgrade som upgradoval ubuntu. Vsetko preslo bez problemov. Po restarte sa vsak vobec nenastartoval internet. Pripojenie na internet mam na router, ip adresa je pridelovana cez dhcp.
NetworkManager vobec nechce pripojit (pouziva dhcpclient).
kde je problem? Ako mam nastavit ten NetworkManager? Cital som ze ma chyby ale s pripojenim na net so statickou ip adresou, ale to sa mna netyka, ja mam cez dhcp. Na live cd mi internet ide cez NetworkManager bez problemov.

Aby som rozbehal internet urobil som docasne riesenie:
1. uplne odstranil vsetky baliky netwrok-manager-*
2. nastavil subor /etc/network/interface
iface eth0 inet dhcp
auto eth0

Takto mi internet ide, ale vzdy po zobudeni z S3 (suspend 3 to ram) musim spravit:
sudo rmmod forcedeth ; sudo modprobe forcedeth
sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart

viete mi niekto poradit co s tym? predsa nie je mozne aby som stale pouzival ifup a ifdown na rozbehanie internetu.

        1. skontroluj v nejakom inom livecd ci ti neodisla sietovka
        2. sprav cistu instalaciu
        3. ak problem zmizne, nahlas to ako chybu upgradu distribucie 8.04
        4. ak problem nezmizne, nahlas to ako chybu nastavenia siete 8.10

          sietovka urcite neodisla. Ved cez ifup ifdown /etc/network/interface rucne internet viem spustit (hore som to pisal). A upgrade som robil pre to aby som nemusel opat instalovat vsetky veci.

          Mne jedine nejde NetworkManager

        Tvoj problem tkvie v tom, ze poniektore DSL modemy alebo routre vracaju v DHCPACK pakete nekorektnu hodnotu MTU, alebo ju neposielaju vobec. Problem sa v logoch nachadza tuto:

        send_packet: Message too long

        Nainstaluj si nazad Network Managera a v subore /etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf by si mal mat riadok typu

        request subnet-mask, broadcast-address, time-offset, routers,
        domain-name, domain-name-servers, domain-search, host-name,
        netbios-name-servers, netbios-scope, interface-mtu;


        Zmaz to posledne interface-mtu tak, ze vysledkom bude nieco taketo:

        request subnet-mask, broadcast-address, time-offset, routers,
        domain-name, domain-name-servers, domain-search, host-name,
        netbios-name-servers, netbios-scope;

          zmenil som ten subor a uz to funguje.
          Diki moc.
          Nemusel som preistalovavat cely system.
