XGL problem na gentoo, kde a ati

Cafko. Potreboval by som poradit. Pokusam sa nahodit XGL, idem podla gentoo-wiki how to a v podstate sa mi vsetko podarilo emergovat. Ked som vsak nastavil podla wiki startxgl skript (hned ta prva moznost pustat X z konzoly, tak sa s velkou biedou spusti xglko, ale strasne strasne seka a v podstate sa nic nezmeni, okenny manazer je je stale kdeckarsky. A neviem si dat s tym rady. Takisto ked som pozeral logy, tak o nejakom XGL ku nebolo ani zmienky v logoch, ako keby sa nic nepustalo. Namiesto toho je tam stale AIXGL, ktore bolo aj pred instalaciou XGLka. A este, ked mam normalne pustene obycajne Xka, tak mam zapnute dri, cize mala by fungovat 3d akceleracia v pohode, glxgears maju cca 250 fps (neviem ci to nie je malo), ale ked pustim startxgl, tak vendora ukazuje ati, ale uz nie je dri zapnute, pretoze nemohlo najst kniznicu...         No kokos, ja neviem. Robil som ti podla postupu, glxinfo ukazuje direct rendering yes, vendora ati a aj napriek tomu ma fps glxgears 250 fps. Neviete cim to je ?

          zaujimave, sice nepouzivam tieto 3d omalovavanky ale vidim ze compiz potrebuje rozsirenie karty GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap, respektive sa k nemu nedostane, ale glxinfo tvrdi ze je dane rozsirenie dostupne. funguje 3d akceleracia aj pod uzivatelom?

            No to prave neviem, lebo pod uzivatelom mi pise, ze mam direct rendering zapnuty a pritom mam cca 250 fps. Ak vypnem DRi, tak mam 50. A XGL potrebuje to rozsirenie GLX_EXT..., to je v mesa kniznici pre , to mi uz ide, staci tam dat parameter, kde ma compiz tu kniznicu hladat. Len s tou akceleraciou sa mi to zda divne, lebo kamos ma napr. v glxgears 1000 fps

              predpokladam ze si to testoval cez glxgears a nie quake4 alebo doom3 popripade serious sam 2. ak mas relativne novy procesor, tak tych 250 fps moze byt sutocne malo. otazkou je co este robi mesa popri ovladacoch od ati, ale to je uz skor otazka na niekoho co ma ati na x86.

            Teraz mam problem, lebo neviem nikde najst gnome-window-manager. Zevraj sa ma nainstalovat spolu s compizom pri pouziti gnome use flagu, ale skusal som a nic. Nevies co s tym ?

(a emerge -pv compiz nema uvedeny gnome flag) nubian ~ # ls -al /usr/bin/gnome-window-decorator lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 2006-10-11 12:59 /usr/bin/gnome-window-decorator -> /usr/bin/metacity a co sa tyka fglrx a xgl (vo verzii 8.29).. to som uz zabalil.. lebo som sa nevedel zbavit hore uvedeneho erroru s aiglx fglrx_dri momentalne sa snazim to rozbehat na r300 (radeon 9600), ale aj tam mi vypisuje (v Xgl) direct rendering: no kedze: env LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose glxinfo cat /var/log/Xorg.94.log | grep WW ... sa zdaju byt v poriadku, naozaj neviem, kde je problem :)
