snazim sa pripojit modem Microcom AD 2622 na najnovsi arch linux (kernel 2.6.30). najprv som iba pripojil modem a pozrel do dmesg, preco nejde. vysledok? nakopiroval som "zarucene fungujuci" firmver z tohto navodu http://linuxos.sk/KnowledgeBase_show_entry/8/history/true/index.html , a teraz dmesg vypisuje
ATM dev 0: ADSL line: up (4160 kb/s down | 512 kb/s up)
coz znie celkom dobre. teraz by som rad ten internet aj pouzival :) network-admin ani network-manager (pouzivam GNOME) mi pri nastavovani pripojenia nepomahaju/nefunguju.
vzhladom na vek navodu a nekompatibilitu deb balickov s arch linuxom som ine casti navodu nepouzil; dufam totiz ze niekomu sa tento modem podarilo rozbehat aj kazdodennymi sposobmi.

Pre pridávanie komentárov sa musíte prihlásiť.
Skús v konzole ako root zadať príkaz adsl-setup, alebo pppoe-setup, či ťa pustí do konfigurácie pppoe. Takto to funguje v Mandrive a Opensuse.
(1) make sure the rp-pppoe package is installed
(2) as root, run pppoe-setup -- this utilitly will ask you questions about your account and will create a configuration file for you. The configuration file will be created at /etc/ppp/pppoe.conf
(3) take a look in pppoe.conf and see if there are any other settings you would like to change -- this file has lots of comments to tell you what each setting does.
(4) try starting up your internet connection by running (as root) "/etc/rc.d/adsl start"
(5) if it doesn't work, look in /var/log/messages.log or /var/log/syslog.log for error messages to try to figure out why
2. ano, ten navod na arch linuxackom fore som cital, vsetko funguje, az na to ze internet nejde ;) neviem totiz ake rozhranie mam zadefinovat (nas0? pan0? eth0 je sietovka, tak to vylucujem...)
