Caute,

u kamarata instalujem ubuntu gutsy gibbon. Mam problem so zapnutim efektov. Vypise mi Desktop effects could not be enabled. Ma graficku RV530 [Radeon X1600]. Xorg.conf:

      no, pokial ti tento prikaz: glxinfo | grep -i render vypise direct rendring NO, tak asi nemas dostupnu 3d akceleraciu ako uzivatel nakolko ti chyba nastavenie prav pre DRI v konfiguraku xwindows. ale to len tak strielam, ati nepodporuje linuxove binarne drajvre pre linux na ppc, takze nemozem overit.

          Niektore ATI karty pouzivaju ovladace fglrx a na tých efekty nespustis mam tiez ATI kartu akceleraciu mam spustenu veselo na tom hravam hry ale efekty nespustim ... je to blbe ale budes a s tym muset zmierit ... preto mam radsej Nvidie na nich 3D efekty funguju v pohode.

            Ja pouzivam ati fglrx a efekty mi fubguju na 100%.

              1: Samozrejme je potrebne nainstalovat neslobodne ovladace.
              2: Edituj /etc/X11/xorg.conf

              3: Instalacia xserver-xgl,gnome-compiz-manager,emerald 4: Restart PC a co to nevidim!!!!Efekty funguju pod ati rovnako ako aj pod nvidiou.(I ked nvidia je nvidia a predsa je lepsia ako ati.Moj osobny nazor.)

              Tak vela stasti a nech sa vam vas desktop paci tak ako aj mne.:-)

                mne tiez vypisuje "Desktop effects could not be enabled" sry som na linuxe uplny amater s linuxom som sa stretol iba na praxi v skole prosim ked by mi niekto pomohol
                1. Neviem ake ovladace treba nainstalovat
                2. Neviem kde je "/etc/X11/xorg.conf"
                3. Neviem ako nainstalovat compiz
                pls pomooooc :(

                  1- akú máš grafickú kartu..
                  2- /etc/X11/xorg.conf je priečinok v adresári, je to vypísaná cesta (ako vo win je C:/program files/xyx)
                  3- a aký máš linux, u každého je to trochu iné (napr. v ubuntu je to v synaptiku)
                  skusam vsetko....už stovka distribúcií za tie roky a vedomosti žiadne.. Prečo linux?

                    mam ubuntu najnovsie grafiku MSI-NX8600GT /etc/X11/xorg.conf ten subor tam ani nemam

                      Klikni pravým tlač. na plochu, vojdi do zmeniť pozadie plochy, tam vizuálne efekty a tam ti nájde ovládače, ktoré povolíš a po reštarte si navolíš to čo sa ti bude páčiť.. GF 8600 patrí k tým, kde je to bezproblémové

                        TOTO mi zobrazí ak kliknem pravým tlačidlom na plochu vizualne efekty .... kam mám teraz kliknúť???

                          normal, extra je to jedno.. nájdeš to aj v system/správa/ovládače hardweru

                                no dal som System>Administration>Hardware Drivers a napise mi serching for avaible drivers alebo nieco take a potom No proprietary drivers are in use on this system... a ked dam na plochu s pravym a dam change desktop background dam vizualne efekty a mi napise Desktop effects could not be enabled

                                  teraz som dal System>Administration>Update manager a stahuje mi nejake veci potom ked mi ich nainstaluje tak skusim restart a tie ostatne veci

                                      no efekty sa mi podarilo rozbehat ale neviem teraz instalovat compiz pls teraz by ste mi nepomohli s tym dakto :)

                                          No vidíš, niekedy je lepšie ked si to všetko prejdeš sám, ale hlavne by som ti odporučil (ak chceš používať linux!!) prečítať si manuál o tom ako tu čo funguje, a to ti ušetrí veľa otázok, lebo prídu aj zložitejšie problémy, kde budeš pomoc potrebovať určite oveľa viac ako pri inštalácii ovládača, či povolení compizu ..!!
