Ahojte, uz som tu ohladom toho pisal, ale dostal som sa k jednej veeeeeeeeeeeeeeelmi vseobecnej odpovedi s tym problemom, ze ked sa drzim suboru readme, tak dojdem asi do jednej tretiny, a tam skoncim. Takze, stiahol som driver z adresy http://dlsvr02.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socket775/P5GC-MX/LinuxDrivers.zip s tym, ze tam su ovladace pre grafiku, zvuk aj LAN. Jedine co ma trapi je LAN, nakolko zvuk aj grafika je OK, ale internet nie. Takze, isiel som podla postupu.

Ja som si nainstaloval Ubuntu 8.04, tak mozno je problem v tom, ale fakt neviem. Subor s koncovkou tar.bz som vytvoril klasicky, pravym tlacidlom mysi a dat vytvorit archiv - dany prikaz rpmbuild -tb prikaz neviem ako pouzit. Ideme dalej.

2. Untar/unzip archive:

3. Change to the driver src directory:

Zatial vsetko funguje podla navodu. A teraz ide "sek" a co dalej?
4. Compile the driver module:
make install

Ked dam "make install" z daneho priecinka, tak mi vypise nieco v tom zmysle, ze nieje co instalovat. Tam skoncim. Ziadne googlovanie nepomohlo, tak uz sa pytam tu. A hrajem sa s tym uz asi tyzden. (sa sam cudujem, ake to mam certovske nervy) Dalej navod pokracuje takto:

Ale az tam som sa nedostal, nakolko sa neviem ako. Vie mi tu niekto pekne krok po kroku, prikaz po prikaze napisat, co mam vlasne robit? Ako fakt by som chcel prejst na platformu, kde by som mohol browsovat, pisat texty, robit tabulky a zakladnu kancelarsku robotu zdarma, ale ked toto nevyriesim, tak mi naozaj ostava (a to sa priznavam) nelegalny Windows.

Ako, je pravda, ze v tomto vypise uz vidim tu sietovku aj ja, ale aj ked idem na vlastnosti siete, (teda, neviem presne nazov, ale polozka, kde sa nastavuju vlastnosti sietovky), tak tam ziadna sietovka nieje. Firefox hlasi stale, ze je offline, ani na router sa neprihlasim - takze siet nejde.

Co sa tyka cat /etc/resolv.con tak taky subor neexistuje - aj som sa manualne browsol do adresara etc a nic som tam take nevidel, cez konzolu to tak isto vypisalo, ze dany subor neexistuje. A co sa tyka routra, vies, striedavo bootujem Windows a Ubuntu - z Windowsu tu pisem a na Ubuntu to skusam. Vo Win mi ide net v pohode, bez problemov. Pod Ubuntu sa na net ani router nepripojim, to som uz skusal. PC sa javi, ako keby tam ziadna sietovka ani nebola. Ako som uz spominal vyssie, ked idem do nastaveni (teraz neviem presne cestu, ale vlastnosti sietovky by tam mali byt), tak tam ziadna sietovka nieje - ako keby som v PC ziadnu sietovku nemal.

Ten subor neexistuje, zadal som jeho nazov spravne a pod route -n niesu ziadne cisla. Router je nastaveny aby prideloval adresy cez DHCP, tak to funguje aj pod win. To ubuntu mam do dualboot s win, takze pod win ide v pohode, to iste zelezo, bez prepajania kablov atd., ale pod ubuntu nie. Vo win mam tak isto pridelovat adresu cez dhcp automaticky.

skus si tam hodit novu mandrivu...co to spravi

vytvor si : sudo gedit /etc/resolv.conf a vlož do neho :nameserver 10.0.0.138. Ale si to pre istotu skontroluj vo winoch. Ak to nepomôže , zkompiluj si ho z http://people.redhat.com/csnook/atl2/atl2-2.0.4.tar.bz2 . Ten pôvodný si zalohuj a kompilaciu urob nasledovne :cd atl2-2.0.4,
make install. Pre kompiláciu by si mal mať nainštalovane :sudo apt-get install build-essential. Ten modul by si mal mať /lib/modules/<KERNEL VERSION>/kernel/drivers/net/atl2.[k]o .
a pri detekovani coho?
