Zmenou xorg.conf?
Moj xorg.conf je akysi chudobny. Chcel by som pouzivat stale rozlisenie 1280x1024 na 60Hz...
Dik za pomoc

Tych uprav si urobil asi viac.
Po boote sa prihlas samozrejme nie do X a nakonfiguruj si Xka znovu. dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
PS: Je dobre si dolezite konfiguraky zalohovat pred upravou.

podla mna toho az tak vela nemenil (ak to usudzujes na tom xorgu) lebo presne taky xorg ubuntu 8.10 (aj 8.04 asi) pouziva ja ho mam tiez, pokial mi vsetko funguje netrapi ma kde su tie nastavenia a dufam ze ma to ani nebude trapit

ten prikaz zvykol v ubuntu narobit galibu, aje ked teraz to uz asi nezhorsi

alebo si precitat komentar ku konfiguraku?
..pokial mi vsetko funguje netrapi ma kde su tie nastavenia..
Mam rad poriadok.

a teiz som ho nesil v komentari xorgu

Precitaj si este raz komentar ku konfiguraku a mozno najdes klucove slovo dexconf. Mozno prave to je odpoved.
Inac aj v *buntu musi byt poriadok. Neporiadok by brzdil dalsi vyvoj distribucie a mozno by prave neporiadok mnohych vyvojarov odradil.

dexconf... nasiel som, skusil som. Vygenerovalo mi rovnaky xorg.conf ako som mal pred tym. To nastavenie rozlisenia ktovie kde bolo ulozene.

Znova "mimo dosah"....

      # xorg.conf (X.Org X Window System server configuration file)
      #
      # This file was generated by dexconf, the Debian X Configuration tool, using
      # values from the debconf database.
      #
      # Edit this file with caution, and see the xorg.conf manual page.
      # (Type "man xorg.conf" at the shell prompt.)

      # if it has not been modified since the last upgrade of the xserver-xorg
      # package.
      #
      # Note that some configuration settings that could be done previously
      # in this file, now are automatically configured by the server and settings
      # here are ignored.
      #
      # If you have edited this file but would like it to be automatically updated
      # again, run the following command:
      # sudo dpkg-reconfigure -phigh xserver-xorg

      Section "ServerLayout"
      Identifier "aticonfig Layout"
      Screen 0 "aticonfig-Screen[0]-0" 0 0
      EndSection

      Section "Files"
      EndSection

      Section "Module"
      EndSection

      Section "Monitor"
      Identifier "Configured Monitor"
      EndSection

      Section "Monitor"
      Identifier "aticonfig-Monitor[0]-0"
      Option "VendorName" "ATI Proprietary Driver"
      Option "ModelName" "Generic Autodetecting Monitor"
      Option "DPMS" "true"
      EndSection

      Section "Device"
      Identifier "Configured Video Device"
      EndSection

      Section "Device"
      Identifier "aticonfig-Device[0]-0"
      Driver "fglrx"
      BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
      EndSection

      Section "Screen"
      Identifier "Default Screen"
      Device "Configured Video Device"
      Monitor "Configured Monitor"
      EndSection

      Section "Screen"
      Identifier "aticonfig-Screen[0]-0"
      Device "aticonfig-Device[0]-0"
      Monitor "aticonfig-Monitor[0]-0"
      DefaultDepth 24
      SubSection "Display"
      Viewport 0 0
      Depth 24
      EndSubSection
      EndSection

No a ked som spustil Ubuntu, znovu len "mimo dosah"
Pripada mi to, akoby sa to nastavenie zleho rozlisenia ulozilo niekde do profilu uzivatela....
Dalej som skusal v konzole prihlasit sa ako root, nasledne startx, xka nabehnu, pekne ako maju, avsak dalej nic ine nemozem robit, pretoze to cele zamrzne, vypise nejaku chybu s panelom....nepomaha ani ctrl+alt+backspace. Jedine tvrdy restart.

No nic....preinstaloval som to.
V kazdom pripade, uz to ide.
