nvidia - po instalacia drivera nenabehne X-windows

Po nainstalovani nvidie (ubuntu 5.04, manli nvidia gfoce mx 440SE) mi nenabehne X-windows. Musim ho startovat rucne cez startx. nvidia je pravdepodobne nainstalovana spravne-narast vykonu v hrach, idu uz pekne plynulo. kde moze byt chyba ?

      A ako je instalovany ten driver? Huste distra maju aj huste navody len si treba vediet otvorit oci. http://ubuntuguide.org/

        myslis toto ? : 1. Read General Notes 2.           a predtym system startoval do grafiky? co je v inittabe? startuje sa sluzba DM (kdm/xdm/gdm)?

                bolo myslene nieco taketo "tail /var/log/Xorg.0.log"

                  ten som skumal, nenarazil som vsak na nijaky error iba warning ze neexistuje nejaky font, nemyslim ze v tomto bude problem. skumal som aj /var/logs/gdm/:0.log nic smerodatne som v nom nenasiel, ale podla datumu sa vytvoril log posledne vcera vecer, gdm nie je ani v procesoch, tak tu je asi ten problem, kde sa ma nastartovat gdm ?

                    a co takto kuknut na vypisy kernelu ;) lsmod ? je tam nvidia ? dmesg | grep NVIDIA? a ten :) log X.org hod tiez niekde na net nech si to mozme kuknut a pre istotu aj tvoj xorg.conf

                        byt tebou tak zakomentujem to Load "GLcore" a Load "dri", nvidia to odporuca, ale vyzera to byt ok, skus potom upgradnut gdm, mozno to pomoze...

                          tak som to konecne vyriesil, objavil som na nete clanok ze niektore starsie nvidie (moja 2 roky cca) nemusia bezat s driverom nvidia-glx, ale nvidia-glx-legacy
