slackware: problem s diskom

Zdravim Mam nasledujuci problem: Na mojom cca 7 rocnom PC PII-400 s diskami Maxtor (9GB) a WD-Caviar (80GB, dodatocne dokupeny, cca 1.5roka stary) sa mi stalo dva krat pocas prace s PC ze niektory z tychto diskov "cvakol" akoby sa vypinal/zapinal a system mi zostal visiet, na nic nereagoval, pomohlo iba alt-PrtScr kombo. Po prvom restarte som este vravel, ze to bol mikrosekundovy vypadok el. prudu, ze o nic nejde. Ale stalo sa mi to druhy krat a po restarte sice nabehol linux, ale nedalo sa mi vobec nalogovat. Nahadzovalo to same chyby s filesystemom, ze nemoze najst inode a podobne. Skoda ze som si tie vypisy nejak neulozil, ale nevedel som ako, kedze sa mi vobec nedalo nalogovat. Teraz, na druhy den sa zda, ze to ide, ale netusim kolko to vydrzi. Chcel som pozret nejake logy kvoli chybovym vypisom, ale /var/log/messages, /var/log/faillog, /var/log/wtmp su prazdne, tak neviem co mam este pozret. Skuste poradit co je za chybu, pripadne ktory disk odchadza, aby som mohol zacat zalohovat. Ak poznate nejaky dobry prog na overenie zivotnosti disku, tiez mi to pomoze. Idem ich teraz skontrolovat programom fsck. Vopred dakujem za kazdu radu.

      nainstaluj smartmontools a precitaj si man smartctl. verim, ze SMART ti povie, ktory odchadza
      Debian. apt-get into it…

      fsck na obidva disky ukazal no corruptions.

PS: je mozne ze to sposobilo prehriatie? lebo teraz som otvoril case, kukal ci je vsetko ok a zatial pri otvorenej bedni to drzi (klop-klop).

        no, ja mam na jednom z diskov (stara 20 ma 0 chyb a najnovsi je momentalne dost poskodeny (napriek tomu ich ma tusim menej nez ty)): Error 1394 occurred at disk power-on lifetime: 4839 hours (201 days + 15 hours) oproti tvojim: Error 11259 occurred at disk power-on lifetime: 3132 hours (130 days + 12 hours) cize ti asi odchadza. skus pozriet co pise smartctl -H /dev/hda

      Ak ti vypina disk, moze byt chyba aj v zdroji. Aky tam mas zdroj?

        Nuz zdroj je stary ako PC-7rokov, 200W. Mne sa vidi, ze je to sposobene teplotami, lebo pri otvorenej bedni to drzi. Idem zbastlit nejaky chladic na disk:) No ale smartmon ukazuje, ze hda odchadza, tak to v zdroji nebude asi.
