Hardwarove naroky Beryl vs. Kompiz. Pomoze mi pri sekani vacsia pamat RAM?
Mam AMD Athlon XP 2200 MHz (realne 1.8 GHz), ATI Radeon 128 MB, 768 MB RAM.
Beryl je skvely, aj ide plynulo, pokym nemam spustenych par aplikacii. Nemyslim len ze obcas trochu sekne, ale aj spomali operacie niektorych programov.
Skusil som compiz a bol som milo prekvapeny, ma minimalne naroky. Plynule mavat s oknom som mohol aj pri nacitavani zoznamu baliku v adepte (co pod berylom trha).
Akurat ze compiz je jaksi malo konfigurovatelny, a chyba ju mi napriklad moje oblubene klavesove skratky co ide nastavit v beryle (ctrl+shift+click na okno ho minimalizuje a pod.)
Pre pridávanie komentárov sa musíte prihlásiť.
Treba sem napisat o aky radeon sa jedna. Mozes skusit napr. open-source drivery pre radeon. Alebo updatovat fglrx.
No škoda že nepíše výpis z glxinfo a samozrejme aj niektoré dôležité časti konfigu xwindows bez ktorých sa môžeme len dohadovať. No nič, bez informácií môžeme len do kryštálovej gule pozerať.
a spustali to aj na slabsich strojoch. no, aj tak je to sprostost...
mas spravne nainstalovane nvidia drivere? ide ti 3d akceleracia?
glxinfo
hovorí o tom v akom je stave 3d akcelerácia a v logu/var/log/Xorg.?.log
